Successful First Father’s Day Celebration Hosted by AARP, NAACP Elizabeth Branch, Union County, and 94.7 The Block

June 25, 2024

On June 19, 2024, our first Father’s Day Celebration was a tremendous success! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to AARP, Union County, and 94.7 The Block for helping organize this fantastic community event. The enthusiastic response from attendees highlighted the event’s success, with everyone enjoying the free haircuts, lively music, free health screenings, and entertaining games for the kids.

A special thank you goes to all the volunteers whose support was instrumental in making the event run smoothly. Your dedication and hard work were key to our success.

We hope that all fathers, grandfathers, and father figures had a memorable Father’s Day, and we eagerly look forward to welcoming everyone back for our cookout next year!

Participation from our public officials is always crucial. As an organization dedicated to advocating, agitating, and litigating for the civil rights of Black America, our legacy is rooted in the grassroots activism of the 20th century’s greatest civil rights pioneers. It continues to thrive through the efforts of 21st-century activists.

We invite the community, our public officials and families to join us in raising awareness of our cause and supporting the work we do for our community.

We sincerely thank all our members and supporters for making this event a resounding success.
